One of the best things about staying in Kato Paphos is how easy it is to get around. The harbour, archaeological sites, restaurants and beaches are all within walking distance of the apartment. But when you want to explore further — Coral Bay, the Akamas Peninsula or even Limassol — you have plenty of options. Here's everything you need to know about transport in Paphos.

Walking — The Best Way to Explore Kato Paphos

Kato Paphos is remarkably walkable. From the apartment, most major attractions are within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The streets are generally flat, well-lit and pedestrian-friendly, especially along the coastal promenade.

• Paphos Harbour — 500m, about 7 minutes on foot
• Archaeological Park — 650m, about 8 minutes
• Paphos Castle — 500m, about 7 minutes
• Kings Avenue Mall — 1.2km, about 15 minutes
• Tombs of the Kings — 2.5km, a pleasant 30-minute coastal walk

Public Buses — Affordable and Reliable

• Akamas Peninsula & Blue Lagoon — 45 minutes to Latchi. Take a boat from Latchi harbour to the Blue Lagoon, or hike the Aphrodite Trail through wild Mediterranean landscape.
• Troodos Mountains — 1.5 hours. Painted Byzantine churches (UNESCO), cedar forests, wine villages. Mount Olympus (1,952m) offers cool relief in summer and even snow in winter.
• Limassol — 1 hour via the A6 motorway. Cyprus's second city with a beautiful old town, marina, and excellent shopping. The Limassol Castle and old market are worth exploring.
• Nicosia — 2.5 hours. The world's last divided capital. Cross the Green Line on foot, visit the Leventis Museum, explore the old city within the Venetian walls. A full day adventure.
